The five ship of SNMG2 will dock in Casablanca on16th September to boost ties with Morocco, under NATO’s Mediterranean Dialogue program, launched in 1994, which focuses on a regional contribution to fighting terrorism.
Apart from an intense exercising schedule, SNMG2 will be employed in Operation Active Endeavour, NATO’s counter terrorist operation in the Mediterranean. Additionally, the force will support NATO’s cooperation programme, Mediterranean Dialogue, and conduct other activities to strengthen the well-established relationships between NATO and its partners.
