>NATO released her version of the events that F-493 TCG Gelibolu disrupted a pirate attack against Dutch merchant ship MV Torm Ragnhild and resulted in the release of a hijacked dhow.
The Commanding Officer of TCG Gelibolu, Commander Baybars Küçükatay Turkish Navy said:
‘With Gelibolu quickly arriving on the scene the pirates had little option to abandon the dhow and leave the crew unharmed – our priority was the safety of the crew of the dhow”.
