>On 31 March 2010, Turkish frigate to SNMG-2, F-493 TCG Gelibolu, arrested 9 pirates.
The frigate sighted a suspiciously acting skiff inside IRTC, 80 miles off the shore. The frigate closed in on the skiff, warnings from the ships and aggressive maneuvering kept the pirates from fleeing. The skiff with 9 pirates was detained.
With the latest arrest, the number of arrested pirates by Turkish Navt rose to 53.
