I usually tend to report on naval news. The whether was awful the whole week and it will be getting worse at the weekend.
During the storm on Thursday and Wednesday two cargo ships M/V Oruç Reis (Papur) and M/V Orçun C run aground at the Black Sea just off the entrance of Bosphorus, the later broke in two. Tons of fuel leaked in to the sea. 21 people on board of the ship have been evacuated. Another M/V Piper developed an engine failure 8 miles away from the North entrance of Bosporus and had to be towed back to safety.
The weather forecast for the weekend does not look bright. There are “Gale” and “Strong Gale” warning for the most of the seas around Turkey.
